Dakota’s coming to Sydney!

Sorry for the lack of updates on my blog this week.(Blogging cliché, I know) but I have been so busy.
I have been looking into dates etc, and I am planning my trip to Australia, which was originally was the cook islands, but now it’s Australia, all the better! I’m going to Sydney… February :)
I have a lot to prepare, as I am going to look into things a bit ahead of schedule. Busy!
S Y D N E Y. I can’t wait! I looked into event planning etc, and also places to go… I heard there is a large Lebanese food market there? Chicken Sharma, I have not had for so long!

Apart from that, I have been busy with things in general.

Yesterday I finished work at 2pm and I came home, to a very messy house.
Last night I was up cleaning late late…

Usually I wouldn’t let my room get in such a state of disaster, but I’ve had no time to clean up.

So back to my Sydney plans…
Do I have any readers here who live in Sydney that know the best places to dine and the most interesting places to go to? I have been to Sydney 2 times already, briefly though, as they were just stop over trips when I was coming to New Zealand from Cambodia/Thailand.
I have heard though, that Sydney is a great place because of it’s mix of cultures. Lebanese, Turkish, Chinese, Thai, Malay… the lot! I really can’t wait to visit the markets. I really miss fresh ethnic food!
Last time I was in Thailand I went to this rural market place in a place called Ratchaburi, and the food produce there was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed this sweet dish called Lod Chong…
It’s coconut string, ice cubes and coconut milk!!! D E L I C I O U S . AND FROG!!! Delicious! When I get to Sydney, I’m going to market my self out until I can bare the sight of another market :P

Does anyone in Sydney have any recommendations? Do let me know! I have lots of Vietnamese friends in Sydney, so they have advised me quite a lot as to where I should go to get good food, but you can never get enough suggestions! I can’t wait!
What about shopping for non-food essentials? Is Sydney good for shopping? Where are the best places for shopping? I know I have lots of readers from Sydney, so do inform me of your suggestions! *wink*

Anyway, this couldn’t be a post by Dakota without just one photo of a coffee cup -_-
This morning I had coffee with TimTams :P Chocolate ones.

It’s 1:07pm already! I’m off to watch an interesting documentary about French Morocco…

Don’t forget, if you live in Sydney, or you have been there, do inform me on the greatest places to visit! I’m all up for suggestions. Also, I heard that Sydney has a very heavy night life?

Ciao~
